The Capital Region Airport Authority (CRAA) owns and operates Mason Jewett Field Airport (TEW), a public-use general aviation airport in Mason, approximately 12 miles south of Lansing in the central portion of the state.

Mason Jewett Field is a public use airport located one nautical mile southeast of the central business district of Mason, in Ingham County, Michigan. The airport is located close to US 127, and can be accessed from the Kipp Road exit off US 127 south.
Rideshare
Popular rideshare services like Uber and Lyft serve the Mason area. To use these services, download the app to your mobile phone from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Your rideshare can pick up and drop off passengers at the terminal building.
Public Transportation
Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) provides Redi-Ride services in the Mason area (including TEW). It is a reservation-based door-to-door service. The services operations M-F from 6:30 a.m.- 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. (no Sunday service). Aviation Training
LCC Aviation Technology and Maintenance Program
Lansing Community College's Aviation Technology & Maintenance Program operates out of Mason Jewett Field. The 24-month program is accredited by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and prepares students to qualify for FAA licensure as an airframe and powerplant mechanic. The training facility at Mason Jewett Field is a modern, 60,000 sq. ft. hangar specialized to the needs of the AMT program, with several full-sized training aircraft.
The LCC AMT program is one of the top training programs in the Midwest, and one of only 43 Delta Air Lines partner programs. To become an official partner program with Delta, facilities must meet more than 100 stringent criteria Delta uses to measure AMT programs' strength, quality of instruction, and the readiness of technicians upon graduation.
Great Lakes Air Ventures
Great Lakes Air Ventures is a premier flight training facility in mid-Michigan and operates out of Mason Jewett Field. They have the capability to meet all training needs - from those who are brand new to aviation, to those who are looking to continue training for more advanced certificates.
Great Lakes Air Ventures has a partnership as a flight training affiliate with Liberty University School of Aeronautics. Students who enroll at Liberty University can earn their bachelor of science in aviation online while completing their flight training requirements at an approved flight training affiliate (FTA) location. They also have a partnership with Holt High School, offering students interested in aviation a unique hands-on training experience.
EAA Chapter 55
The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 55 operates out of Mason Jewett Field. In addition to monthly meetings, EAA Chapter 55 hosts Aviation Days at Mason Jewett Field, an annual event showcasing vintage aircraft, including homemade planes, antique passenger planes and WWII-era military aircraft. They also host the Young Eagles Aviation Days on the second Saturday of June, July and August annually at Mason Jewett Field, a family-friendly event where local pilots offer free airplane rides to kids ages 8-17.
