The LAN Visitor Pass Program allows the non-traveling public to visit LAN and enjoy the amenities on the post-security side of the passenger terminal. Obtaining an LAN Visitor Pass allows our visitors to spend more time with their friends and family, shop and dine at the airport concessionaires or for special events.

Processes and Parameters for Passes
If applying in advance: Please make your reservation at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. You’ll receive an email with your approval status and further instructions prior to your visit.
If applying for same-day admittance: You’ll receive an email with your approval status and further instructions within two hours of submission. LAN also accepts walk-in appointments in the Airport Operations Department. Please note that walk-ins will have a 10-15 minute processing window before using your pass for your information to be available in the system.
- LAN Visitor Passes will only be issued between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Passes will not be issued for admittance on Saturday or Sunday.
- LAN Visitor Passes will only be accepted at the TSA security screening checkpoint until 4 p.m. or until the checkpoint closes, whichever is sooner, Monday-Friday.
Picking up your pass when you arrive at the airport:
- Park in the short-term parking lot. Parking rates will apply. Visit our Parking & Transportation page for details on rates.
- Go to the Airport Operations Department, located on the second floor of the terminal, on the day of your visit to pick up your LAN Visitor Pass. Take the elevators inside the main entrance to the second floor, and the Airport Operations Department will be the last door at the end of the hall on the right.
- Present your TSA-approved ID to the Operations Department personnel to obtain your LAN Visitor Pass. You MUST present a valid TSA-approved ID to obtain your pass and proceed through security. No exceptions.
- Proceed through the TSA Security Checkpoint on the main floor of the terminal with your TSA-approved ID. You will be required to pass through the TSA screening checkpoint following all TSA policies and procedures, regardless of your TSA status (removing shoes, passing any personal items through screening, etc.) Passes are only valid for four hours.
- LAN Visitor Pass Program is limited to 25 visitors per day and passes are provided on a first come, first served basis (different rules may apply for special events).
- All LAN Visitor Pass holders must complete the security screening process prior to its closure and will not be permitted entry without completing the screening process.
- Visits are restricted to four hours per day, between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; or until the TSA Checkpoint closes, whichever is sooner.
- During peak departure times, priority at the TSA Security Screening Checkpoint will be given to ticketed passengers.
- Minors are allowed to participate in the LAN Visitor Pass Program; however, they must be accompanied by an adult.
- Every participating person must complete a separate online registration and receive approval from the airport (including minors).
- Commercial activity is expressly prohibited and will result in removal of the participant and revocation of their privilege to participate in the program.
- The Capital Region Airport Authority has the right to cancel or suspend the program or modify program rules at any time without prior notice.
- The Capital Region Airport Authority reserves the right to revoke or deny a LAN Visitor Pass from any individual who may pose a security risk, a risk to any passenger or customer, and/or violates any of the rules of regulations of the airport.
- All individuals participating in the LAN Visitor Pass program are subject to the same security screening regulations as ticketed passengers. All items prohibited in carry-on luggage, including liquids, aerosols, and gels, apply to personal items taken through security during your visit.
- Expedited screening (i.e., TSA PreCheck, CLEAR, and Global Entry) cannot be used with LAN Visitor Pass.
The Transportation Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires us to collect information from you for purposes of watch list screening, under the authority of 49 U.S.C. section 114, and the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. Providing this information is voluntary; however, if it is not provided, you may be subject to additional screening or denied transport or authorization to enter a sterile area. TSA may share information you provide with law enforcement or intelligence agencies or others under its published system of records notice.
