Be aware. Travel safe.

Thank you for flying Lansing. Please be aware of our most up-to-date security arrangements. You are encouraged to check with the airline or your travel agent should you have any concerns about increased security measures or if you have special needs.

Arrive early
While getting through our airport is a breeze, you still need to leave enough time to check in and check your bag before your flight. For domestic flights, please arrive at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure. For international travel, please allow 2 hours. If you are taking an Apple Vacations tour, you are required to check in no later than 1 hour prior to departure.

The TSA checkpoint at LAN uses a credential authentication technology (CAT) unit to enhance capabilities for identifying fraudulent ID documents and improve passenger’s experience by increasing the efficiency of the TSA security checkpoint. TSA officers will ask passengers to insert their personal identification into a scanner for authentication purposes. Passengers will not have to provide their boarding pass (electronically or printed). A boarding pass may be requested by the TSA officer for visual inspection, if the traveler is under the age of 18, or for those without IDs or with damaged IDs.

Travelers (both domestic and international) are still required to check-in with their airline at the ticket counter prior to entering the TSA checkpoint. The CAT unit does not verify check-in status.
