Delta Schedules More Daily Flights From Lansing With Easy Connections, Minneapolis Flight To Return In 2010

Delta Air Lines will increase service in November to the Capital Region International Airport by offering eight daily flights arriving and departing from Lansing to Detroit. Delta flies 50 seat regional jets from the mid-Michigan airport. Delta will also return non-stop daily service from the Capital Region International Airport to Minneapolis after the first of the year.
"This is all great news for our regular business and leisure air passengers that count on good daily scheduled service from Delta," said Robert Selig, Executive Director of the Capital Region Airport Authority. "The return of the early Delta flight at 5:40 a.m. to our Lansing schedule means many business travelers will be able to easily fly Lansing, make morning connecting flights, and attend a morning business meeting at almost any destination in America."
"Delta will return the Lansing-Minneapolis service in early 2010," Selig said. "We had a strong community response to help return the Minneapolis flight to our region. Better schedules with more travel options from eight Delta flights every day to and from Lansing really makes the Capital Region International Airport the easy and convenient way to fly."
The new Delta flight schedule features planes departing Lansing at: 5:40 a.m., 8:15 a.m.,
10:25 a.m., noon, 1:50 p.m., 3:25 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:45 p.m. Delta arrivals in Lansing will be scheduled at: 6:35 a.m., 9:20 a.m., 11:23 a.m., 12:52 p.m., 2:43 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 6:23 p.m.,
and 8:38 p.m. Delta service to Lansing from Minneapolis starts January 5, 2010. Lansing flights are scheduled to depart daily at 7:25 a.m. and return back to Lansing at 9:56 p.m.
New non-stop service from Lansing to Cancun, Mexico with Apple Vacations is scheduled to begin in late December. The Capital Region International Airport is the only international airport in Michigan outside Detroit with a full-service U.S. Customs and Border Protection Inspection Station. The new inspection station is capable of processing up to 200 international airline passengers per hour.
